A Kettel with lots of Teabags - 103 - Table 11

Well today is thursday. I just got back from sydney. Wow i love sydney. I had so much fun.
Ok why was i in sydeny? well cos im on youth council, and because youth council got nominated for having a really good youth week program! We didnt win anything, but just being a finalist is a pretty good effort.

I'm so glad that i got to go. Me and Bec (i went with bec) got our own hotel rooms which was stellar. My own queen/king sized bed, room, bathroom, tv, phone, kettle (yes thankyou to whomever shuved 6 teabags inside it, i had great fun removing each and every one of them this morning). Yes it was great, i was in room 103, and bec was in 321. We stayed at the ibis. My room was directly across from this huge neon sign saying NOVETEL - IBIS - OLYMPIC PARK and i could still see it slightly even with the curtains closed! and of course i got a room on the first floor, and bec got one on the third!!! lol i didnt mind we werent there for long.

We went to the local government awards, which was all very formal and bec and i felt slightly underdressed, not because of lack of clothes, but because we werent suits and designer labels. Bec knew people there, i didnt, well i'd heard of a couple. Sat at table 11, love number 11, best number in the world! Neway we made friends with the Mayor of Gosford, who was tons funny and won a $100 Myer Gift Card. The waiters were all surly, but smiled when they were thanked by the MC. The MC was actually in my opinon a mature clown as opposed to a Master of Ceremonies. He was really funny, he did tricks on his unicycle and juglled etc. as a kind of ice-breaker, which was really funny... he kept getting this one guy- adam. to help him, and he bagged him out tons which was heaps fun... poor adam. lol. It was a great night, and we had a great time. The meal was three course, and it was all very formal, so i got embarrased because i kept dropping things, but bec said i did ok. she couldnt even break her bread properly. at least i wasnt the only one.

so neway then we wnet back to the hotel, ange and the other lady from council, debbie, that came with us thought that we had gone straight to bed but we really snuck out and went walking around olympic park, the venue of the hotel and dinner and awards. Olympic park is really nice at night, but maccas was closed so we went down into the basement searching for the car we came down in. then we went in the room elevators, and were going into the novetel, before we did but we got scared shitless by voices and really loud banging and clunking noises coming from inside the shaft, so then we left. i think we went to bed then. but we went on the net first, no one was on except joe.

i watched jerry springer till 1.30.

got up at 6.30. yes i'm dead tired and going to bed soon.

Me and bec went for another walk, i got a sundae. we tried to break into olympic park but couldnt. for some reason they have good security. Then we did go into the novetel (the adjoining hotel) and went right to the top and had a look around, then on the 16th floor we found an open door rooom, and went inside but it was boring, and we went down the firescape, i had to spit down the gap between all the stairs, it was fun. I threw money and tic tac containers as well. All in the name of science... lol. I brought some sunnies, so did bec, as well as see through socks (not me, bec.) i was going to buy some rabbitohs merchandise for sarah but had no money left.

Then we had brekky, and left. Olympic park disappeearing in the rearview mirror. Traffic was reasonable, and i listened to my robe while bec slept.

A great time was had by all.
